There is Only One Mediator between God and Men

For there is ONE God and ONE mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who Gave HIMSELF a Ransom for ALL, to be testified in due time.(1 Timothy 2:5-6)

Do you believe the bible is the Word of God? If so, then you understand that your pastor is not your Mediator, there's only One, and His Name is Christ Jesus, not pastor so and so.

Your pastor is to preach The Gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ (Christ and Him crucified) so that you can be equipped for the work of the ministry. If he is telling you that you're not able to minister to others, what is he basing that on? He has issues in his life just as you do, for he has not obtained perfection as of today either. If you don't believe it, talk to his wife, or just hang around him for about a week. Are you being controlled by the Holy Spirit or your preacher? This is a subtle spirit working in most pastors today that will try to make you look like the one whose in control of everything, but the whole time, it's your pastor. I know because the Lord delivered me from that terrible place of depending on another man. Are you living for the Lord or for your pastor? You will know when you're listening to the right messenger because he will be the one God sends to place before you knowledge and understanding (Jeremiah 3:15). Jesus Gave the Only Avenue in which understanding of the scriptures can come to anyone. Luke 24:45-47 reveals Jesus opening the understanding of the scriptures to his disciples. What He did at Calvary is the Only Avenue one can understand the scriptures and enjoy more than just quoting them, for then and Only then, will The Word begin to prosper in the heart of the believer. The Son of Man must come and suffer and be raised the third day. What a revelation!! Sadly so, most today only want a feeling, a quiver, shiver, quake and a shake to go.

There is absolutely no understanding of the scriptures outside of what Christ did at Calvary. This is why the Apostle Paul, and as well, all the other messengers that the Lord sends will refuse to preach anything other than The Gospel, for it is the power of God to all who are Saved, but to those who are perishing, (whether they know it or not) it is foolishness. The day I stop preaching THE Gospel will be the day I've become ashamed of it.

The Lord is speaking to His sheep today and intends to see a great exodus once again, but this time, from that old spirit of religion that we have been seduced by for years (even though we've prayed against it). We can be seduced by the very thing we are praying for others to be delivered from. Wow!! Now, that is deception! I know what I'm talking about because you don't know just how bad Egypt is until your out of it!!

Praise the Lord. We're praying for all those who are kicking against the pricks today. The Lord desires to feed His flock, but the only thing on HIS table is TRUTH (Christ and Him crucifed).

Change

There are many changes taking place in our nation and world today in which we do not like. Everyone thinks change is needed and rightly so. We as Christians are to be about the Fathers business (not govt. business), and if we are, it will bring about the change in our lives The Lord has Purposed to take place. God’s Purpose for us is to be being conformed into the very image of Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:29) All things work together for good with that purpose and that purpose is CHANGE. The scripture in Romans 8:28-29 says God foreknew those who would surrender to being conformed to the image of His Son (accept Jesus as Lord and Savior).

How much CHANGE (salvation/sanctification) is taking place in your life in which the Lord is responsible for? Are you falling more in love with Jesus every day? Are you speaking of Him on your job, in the classroom, in the market place, and wherever you go? And no, I did not ask if you were inviting people to church so your pastor could tell them about Jesus. That’s not our mission. OUR mission is to tell them about Jesus and let the Lord Lead them to church. We need to get back to The mission and come out from among those who refuse to be about more than systematic programs and activities in the churchy, church world today.

The mission is to preach/share Jesus. He will do the rest. Can you trust the Lord to do what needs to be done in our community and to make the changes in us and our churches that will allow the Lord to pour His Spirit out like never before? We need change and the Lord calls it revival. No, not something we schedule in the Spring and Fall, but rather our complete surrender to His Will, His conforming us into the image of His Son, Jesus. It can only come to and through those who fear the Lord, for it is them that He’s given a banner to be displayed because of the Truth. (Psalms 60:4) Truth is Christ and Him crucified.

We are praying for you, and the Lord is trying to desperately reach this region, nation, and world we live in. Who will have ears to hear?

Understanding

In Acts chapter 8, we have a man from Ethiopia who had traveled to Jerusalem to worship. As he is returning home from his worship we find him reading the Word of God along the way. The problem is that he doesn’t even know Who he is reading about until Philip shows up to tell him. He is found reading Isaiah 53:7-8, the prophetic story given to Isaiah concerning a coming Savior to suffer and die for the sins of the world. Philip asked him if he understood what he was reading. His answer was basically, "no, how can I unless a man tell me?" Right there you have the reason God sent Philip to the eunuch, just as God has sent Son Life Radio and CrossWay Church to this region, that the people might UNDERSTAND what it is they are reading.
Gods Word says understanding will keep you (Proverbs 2:11), but it also says that we are kept by the Power of God through Faith (1 Peter 1:5). Of course the common ground here and the ability to rightly divide Scripture comes only with our knowledge and faith in what Jesus did at Calvary. Understanding is the knowledge of the Holy (Proverbs 9:10) (knowing God) and the only way one can Know God is by Knowing Christ and the only way one can Know Christ is to accept His Finished Work on the cross by faith. That is the understanding that will keep you, because that is The Power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18).

The Word of God tells us we are to learn and be comforted by the scriptures (Romans 15:4), and that can take place only if we UNDERSTAND what we are reading. Jesus opened the UNDERSTANDING of His disciples by Revealing to them that the Law of Moses, the prophets, and Psalms were all about Him and what He came to do. (Luke 24:45-46) This is the only Light we can come to Know Truth as it is written. Satan also is busy teaching Christians the Word of God, but always AWAY from the context in which it was written, which crushed his head. The context of the Word of God is Christ and Him crucified. Believe that or keep pretending and playing church and allowing the enemy to teach you doctrines of devils with the power of seducing spirits. You have a choice. Come out from among them.

We are praying for you,
Pastor Curtis

The Purchase of Desolation

Acts 1:17-20
For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: And his bishoprick let another take. (Psalms 69:25)
Judas did not directly purchase anything, but by what he did with Jesus (Matthew 27:3-7). He actually “purchased” his place of habitation which was, and is… desolation. Judas did not realize what he was buying for himself, but what you do with Jesus is EVERYTHING. You are purchasing something RIGHT NOW. What you do with Jesus determines what you are purchasing, and be assured, you are purchasing something.
You can start out with Jesus, walk with Him, learn of Him, witness of Him, and glorify Him, but unless you STAY WITH Jesus, The Jesus, The Christ of The Holy Scriptures, you are purchasing something for yourself you’re NOT going to want. Judas “had obtained”, he had “received part” of “THIS MINISTRY”. This ministry was The Ministry of The Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 9:1-6; Matthew 10:1-15; Mark 6:7-9) Judas did not continue IN Believing. Judas allowed his selfish purposes to be taken over by Satan instead of continuing to Believe that Jesus came to die for sins. Yes, he did know that. John The Baptist prophesied of Who Jesus was, and all Israel knew of Whom He claimed to be. Jesus told them over and over that He would go to Jerusalem to suffer and die. If we are in this thing called Christianity with our Faith anywhere other than In Who Jesus IS, and that means faith in what He did (bear His cross), we will not make it.
The only unforgivable sin, the Bible teaches, is that of the blasphemy of The Holy Spirit, but not contradictory, Jesus also teaches that we must repent. Before True repentance can even take place there must be faith. The “repentance” of Judas in the Greek is only that of regret, not the True repentance that he once preached (Mark 6:12).
When the father of the demon possessed boy spoke the words to Jesus, "if you can do anything", and when he cried out "Help my unbelief", Judas was there (Mark 9:14-29). If Judas would have asked The Lord to Help him to Believe again, The Lord would have answered him in the same way he answered the father… and a True Repentance could have taken place.
Examine yourself (2 Corinthians 13:5) right now to see if you are IN THE Faith. Not whether or not your IN church, IN your Bible, IN the choir, or IN the pulpit... but rather, IN The Faith.

Ye Shall Go Out With Joy And Be Led Forth With Peace

We have all too often memorized scripture without scripture ever becoming more than something we quote in a time of need. One illustration of what I mean is when we quote what the prophet Isaiah spoke in chapter 55 verses ten and eleven:

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

We memorize, quote, and hear these verses preached, yet never fully realize the meaning as we could if our faith were exclusively in the cross of Christ so the Holy Spirit could teach us and cause us to truly grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.Verse 12 should be added to your memory verse selection, because it gives the result of the prosperity that God’s Word brings.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

For those who have ears to hear we know the joy of the Lord is our strength and that Jesus endured the cross for the joy (our strength) that was set before Him (Heb. 12:2). We also know that He made our peace through the blood of His cross (Coloss. 1:20). Therefore for God’s people to go out with joy (strength) and to be led forth with peace, it will not come about by quoting the written Word, but by keeping your faith exclusively in the Living Word that became flesh and died for the sins of the world, so the written Word can have its true flourishing purpose in you. Hallelujah!! You can continue to pretend if you’d like, but the Lord doesn’t grant peace & strength just because you ask for it. The Holy Spirit will strengthen and bring the peace you need when you fight the good fight of faith, which is to keep your faith exclusively in what Jesus did for you at Calvary.

The apostate church is prevalent in every community in America today. They are easily identified. They do not preach what the Apostle Paul preached, therefore though they remain in the congregation, it’s the congregation of the dead, and the Lord calls them accursed (Prov. 21:16 – Gal. 1:8-9). We’ve been desensitized through the traditions and philosophies of men in whom Satan is behind, to beguile, deceive, and to steal our crown. We’re praying for you that you will exalt Truth (Jesus) once again over your husbands, wives, children, self, and return to your first love which is faith in Christ and His cross.

None Effect

There is no light outside faith in the cross of Christ for salvation, deliverance, blessing, or anything else the Lord has for us. The Lord is found ONLY in the light of the cross. This is why Paul preached Christ and Him crucified and wrote that adding anything else for victory causes Christ to become of NONE EFFECT.
1 Corinthians 1:17
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach The Gospel; not with the wisdoms of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
Our every Need was taken care of at Calvary. 1 John 1:7 proclaims, if we're walking in the light as the Lord is in the Light we're in fellowship with Him AND THE BLOOD (which speaks of the cross) cleanses us from all sin.
If we can do anything other than believe, to obtain victory, Christ did not need to come and die. All principalities and powers were defeated as Christ triumphed over them making an open show of them in His cross (Colossians 2-14-15). By the way, this is still the only way you can triumph over anything hindering you from being conformed into the image of Jesus Christ, which should be your focus (Colossians 2:14-15). The devil himself transforms his angels to be as ministers of light and they are the one's leading everyone to a place they call "beyond the cross" which in all reality is nothing but darkness.
We're told to GO BACK to our first love, (the cross) not beyond it. The Lord is waiting on you to take a stand and come out of the fear of man which has you trapped (Proverbs 29:25). He is Speaking to many of you today. Don't continue to push Him aside worried about what anyone else will think. There will come a Day of realization that all the thoughts of man, OUTSIDE OF THE LIGHT OF THE CROSS, were vanity and pride.
I pray the Lord will Bless you with eyes to see, and ears to hear.

Foolishness Of Preaching

Have you ever been a part of a group of believers who believe they need to set the atmosphere right for the Spirit of the Lord to show up?

Some dim the lights, some light candles, some paint light colors and hang certain decorations on the wall, as do psychologists, to altar the mind. The list goes on and on in today's church to "try" to get the Lord to show up. Some youth groups have black lights, posters, games, and all sorts of attractions to try and get TODAY's teens in the right "mind set". This is unfortunate because THE ONLY WAY THE LORD DRAWS anyone whether it be a teen or the elderly, IS BY HIS TRUTH.

I know the excuse is that we need to do whatever it takes to get folks in church, but that again is not bible my friends. We are called to take THE GOSPEL to the ends of the earth, not try and get everyone in "our" church (building). When they do show up, if the TRUTH won't keep them, they must return from where they came. The Lord chose the foolishness of preaching to Save those that are Lost AND IT IS the preaching of the cross that is the power of God (1 Cor. 1:18) not anything else we may think.

Note in Luke 24:44-47 how that Jesus opened the eyes (understanding) of His followers. He revealed the scriptures that they are about His coming to suffer, die, and be raised from the dead. Wow!! You see, this is the full counsel of God. Only for those who have ears to hear, don't you know that you were baptized into His death (Romans 6:3). You as a believer were baptized into His Victory. Through His death you were justified and through His death He crushed the head (authority) of Satan. Satan only had a grip on man because of sin, BUT WHEN THE BLOOD POURED OUT!!! He (Satan) was defeated and sin was atoned for. HALLELUJAH!!! PRAISE THE LORD!
We are praying for you and your house. Don't let another day go by that you value what everyone else thinks. Find TRUTH and FOLLOW IT.

Matthew 15:8-9
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
The interesting point in this portion of Scripture is that there were people speaking seemingly the right things in spiritual matters and gathering to worship Jesus. Yes that’s right, they worshipped Jesus, yet Jesus said they worshipped Him in vain. It was no more than something they did to only make "themselves" feel better about "themselves". At another place, Jesus tells others (John 5:39-40) who loved searching the scriptures (those who have a verse to quote for every situation) that they thought they had found eternal life in them, but they did not even know the scriptures were about JESUS.

We remain in bible days today with exactly the same scenario as was in the days of Jesus walking the earth. I would hate to know that I could be in the Word daily and be worshipping Jesus daily and with much sincerity, yet be sincerely doing it all in vain according to Him. What would cause all we do to be in vain? Matthew 15:8 reveals the answer. “Teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” Don’t be deceived, men and the devil use the Word of God to make their own religious rules. Jesus calls them commandments of men. They are such as “you have to do…” This includes all doctrines that men teach can help him outside of what Christ did at Calvary. Please never forget that what Jesus did at Calvary IS WHO HE IS. Whenever we teach or sit under teaching that requires us to do anything other than to believe that what Christ did at the cross was sufficient for all of our needs, and I mean ALL, we worship in vain.

The Lord is pleading with His people to return to their first love. It is the place you first loved Him... At the cross!!!
Good respectable people in this community tried to speak on God’s behalf giving me council against starting CrossWay Church, but the Lord continued to lay on my heart that though there are eighty to ninety churches in this community, “almost none are preaching my gospel”. God’s gospel is Christ and Him crucified. We are seeing many come out of places of VAIN WORSHIP and brought back to a true relationship with the Lord. But know this, it will take for you what it took for me and all the others. It will take you being willing to put Jesus back on the throne of your heart which will result in you coming out from among them who refuse to.

Victory

2 Corinthians 2:14 proclaims there is never ending victory for the children of God even today and every today. This scripture not only convicts me due to the lack of victory I experience at times, but also encourages me, revealing to me there can be uninterrupted victory in my life. If I do not understand from where my victory comes, I’ll be found trying TO DO many things to find it. Let’s look at what the scripture says.

2 Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes

manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place.

Notice where the triumph is found. In Christ. This exclusively speaks of faith in what Christ did at the cross. Not just Christ. If our faith in Christ is separated from His FINISHED WORK, we have a faith the Lord will not recognize. We can either believe this or continue to pretend. The Apostle Paul writes, “As you have received the LORD Jesus Christ, SO WALK YE ALSO IN HIM.” The Word of God reveals we can be in Christ, yet fail WALK IN HIM. (Rom. 8:1) Walking in Him SIMPLY means to keep our faith in what it was in when we were initially saved. The same FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST that Saved you from hell will also Save you from a gossiping tongue, lusting spirit, envy, strife, alcohol, drugs, terrible marriage etc… My bible says ALL principalities & powers were defeated by Christ as He triumphed over them, making an open show of them IN HIS CROSS. (Coloss. 2:14-16) Only a religious spirit would try to bring works in as part of deliverance. The only legitimate deliverance ministry is the ministry like that of the Apostle Paul, the preaching of Christ and Him crucified. For there is NO other way to be delivered from sin. So many with their lips say they know this, but their lives show they do not.

You can walk away from whatever it is holding you down, choking the life out of you simply by placing your faith back in the cross of Christ. If your faith is in what He did, you will be identified with His cross, and experiencing the victory that was provided you there. God bless.
