The Word of God tells us in Numbers 14:20 that the Lord pardoned His people and refrained from destroying them according to the Word of Moses. Notice, it was not the voice of Moses, nor just anything Moses would say, but that which God had already spoken which pointed to what Christ would accomplish at Calvary.
Numbers 14:17-19 reveal Moses being brought to a place of faith by the Lord so the Lord could save the people instead of destroying them. Note verse 17 as Moses pleas with the Lord saying, “Let the power of my Lord be great, according as you have spoken saying”. Verse 18 tells what God had spoken and could only do through what Jesus would do at Calvary.
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE EARS TO HEAR, know that it’s not our voice, our words, or even God’s Word that He honors, but only His Word in the context of what His Son would accomplish at Calvary. This is why the Apostle Paul would write,
“For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but unto us who are saved it is the power of God”.The end is drawing near and God is moving and pouring out of His Spirit in this hour. I encourage all of you who truly belong to the Lord to come out from among the golden calf builders (those who preach anything other than the message of the cross). Who is on the Lord’s side? Remember the Truth, when you know it will make you free. Free from the golden calf builders – those who preach law and works – enemies of the cross.
We are praying for you and your house that the Lord will give you the eyes to see, courage, boldness and strength to come back to the Truth, the gospel, the faith which is the Christ and Him crucified – the power of God.
